Lydia Lopez Ramirez Obituary
Lydia Lopez Ramirez, 84, of Pocatello, Idaho passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Portneuf Medical Center from pneumonia
She was born August 5, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas to Jesus Manuel Lopez and Margerita Nieto.
Lydia grew up in San Antonio, Texas where she attended school. In 1958 she moved to Rexburg, Idaho.
She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
In 1947, she married Antonio Moreno Lopez in San Antonio, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1977. She then married Adolph Ramirez on October 15, 1988 in Blackfoot, Idaho. He also preceded her in death on May 13, 2015.
Lydia was a stay at home mother. She was an excellent cook and an incredible grandmother. She loved being with and caring for her family.
She is survived by her children, Antonio Moreno of Harland, Michigan, Juanita Chavez of Pocatello, Rose Mary Ramirez of Blackfoot and Angelina Quezada of Houston, Texas. step-children, Arturo Ramirez of Fort Morgan, Colorado, Jose Ramirez of Seattle, Washington, Yolanda of Greeley, Colorado, Estella Leon of Pocatello, Delores of Colorado, Carman of Brush, Colorado; sisters, Amelia Lopez and Ramunda Lopez both of Michigan; twenty four grandchildren, thirty eighty great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
A rosary service will be held Monday, October 30, 2017 at 6 p.m. with a visitation to follow until 8 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho.
Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
