Maralee Ann Lane Obituary
Maralee Ann Lane, 59, of Arco, formerly of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls surrounded by family and friends.
She was born October 23, 1957 in Salmon, Idaho the daughter of Calvin Anderson and Betty Nichols Anderson.
She graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1976. After graduating she moved to Hawaii to become a nanny for family friends.
In 1977, she married Richard Lane in Guam. They were later divorced in 1994.
Maralee attended ISU Cosmetology School for 2 years and graduated with her associates degree in the late 90's.
She worked for Kathy & Company in 2003 until she retired in 2016. She was a teachers aide at Stoddard Elementary for several years and she also worked at the INL for several years, where She reconnected with her lifetime partner, Robert Braga in 2005. She also spent many years attending craft fairs and mini bazar's showcasing her crafts. She was involved in boy and girl scouts when her children were young. 
Crafting and interior decorating were her passions. She also spent much of her free time camping and fishing with family and friends. The loved the mountains. She loved her life as a "Grammie". And wouldn't trade Her babies for the world. Her favorite season was Christmas. Her Christmas tree and home were always decorated with much love and tradition. She always told her children and grandchildren that she would marry Santa someday. Maralee was a very giving, artistic, talented, loving and kind person, never selfish. Words cannot express the amazing woman she was. She was a very supportive friend and mother and was known as "mom" to many. She had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off her back if someone was in need. She had a love for animals and was known to take in many strays her children brought home.
She is survived by her children, Tyler (Shelby) Lane of Blackfoot, Brittnie Lane of Idaho Falls; mother, Betty Anderson of Blackfoot; partner, Rob Braga of Arco; siblings, Skeet (Debbie) Anderson of Blackfoot, Lori (Elvin) Robinson of Blackfoot and Cammie (Dan) Neuman of Soda Springs; grandchildren, Jaxon, Harlee, Bayli, Boden and Fisher; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin, brother, Skip Anderson and grandparents.
The family will meet and greet friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers monetary donations or donations to the local Humane Society would be appreciative.
