Marcella Kay (Jorgensen) Ramey Obituary
Marcella Kay Jorgensen Ramey, 69, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away October 10, 2017 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Kay was born May 6, 1948 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Marvin Jacob and Glenna M. Winn Jorgensen. She attended schools in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School. Following graduation, she received nursing training in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Kay married J Glenn Ramey on October 16, 1971 in Blackfoot. They had two children, Ryan and Vivian.
She worked as a medical assistant for Blackfoot Medical Clinic for 26 years, Shelley Medical Clinic and other medical offices throughout Idaho Falls.
Kay was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many various callings.
She was an artist and painter, and loved gardening, sewing, cooking and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Kay is survived by her husband, J Glenn; mother, Glenna Jorgensen; son Ryan J Ramey, Blackfoot; daughter Vivian Mae Vonderlieth, Honolulu, Hawaii; brothers Harold (Trish) Jorgensen, Rigby, Idaho and Lynn (Colette) Jorgensen, Idaho Falls; sisters Maren (Kevin) Lonergan of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Kerry Watts, Idaho Falls, and Glenna (Andrew) Gasper, San Diego, California; and five grandchildren of Blackfoot and Idaho Falls.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Groveland Cemetery under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
