Marcella V. Watts Obituary
Marcella V. Watts, 94, of Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2018 at The Willows Assisted Living Center in Blackfoot, Idaho.
She was born November 27, 1923 in Rexburg, Idaho the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Eggertz Rock.
She graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho and completed Nursing School at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.
While not a member of the military, Marcella volunteered for and served as a Nursing Cadet during World War II. She was stationed in Hawaii and treated wounded soldiers returning from battles throughout the Pacific theatre of operations. 
On September 9, 1947, she married Dell R. Watts in Rexburg, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 27, 1967.
Marcella was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
After graduating from Nursing School, Marcella worked as a licensed nurse in every town she lived in including, Long Beach, California and Idaho Falls, Soda Springs, Arco and Blackfoot, Idaho. While living in Blackfoot, she was selected to be the Nurse Supervisor at the Idaho National Laboratory where she supported the resident physicians and led a team of nurses that provided medical care for thousands of workers employed by the Department of Energy. 
Marcella and her late husband Dell were avid bowlers throughout their lives, participating in numerous mixed league competitions. They enjoyed taking family and friends to their cabin in Island Park where they fished, boated and played cards well into the night. Marcella loved to play bridge with her friends, and often hosted bridge club events at her home. She was a meticulous homemaker, an excellent cook and was never too tired to fix a hot meal for her children and grandchildren whenever they came to visit. She always enjoyed having family at her house for holidays, birthdays and other special events. She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose love, counsel and wisdom will be missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Jolene (Tony) Baccile of Blackfoot, sons, Michael (Sandra) Watts of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Robert (Deborah) Watts of Wake Forest, North Carolina. She has 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dell; parents, Albert and Elizabeth; brothers, Rusty and Lester; sisters, Lucille, Arvilla and Viola; and grandson, John.
Marcella's funeral service is Saturday, March 17, 2018, 11 a.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho. Family and friends are invited to meet with the Watts family one hour prior at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the service at the Grove City Cemetery.
