Margaret was born in Soda Springs, ID on February 21, 1933 to Stanley Abraham Hill and Gladys Phoebe Hill.  She spent her early years growing up on a sheep ranch with her family in Pegram, ID.  The family moved around during the depression as her parents worked several jobs to support the family.  They finally permanently settled in Blackfoot where Margaret graduated from Blackfoot High School.  Margaret loved to spend her summer vacations at her grandfather Berry's ranch in Wardboro,ID, traveling to the ranch as soon as school was out, and staying until the day before school was to start.
On May 2, 1952, Margaret married her sweetheart, Harold Durward Mangum in Blackfoot.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  Margaret was active in the church, serving in several positions thru the years.  She worked at the Idaho Falls temple for 10 years and also served a year long mission with her husband in the Texas Houston Mission from 1990 through 1991.
Margaret worked as a secretary for School District 55 for over 30 years.  She first started out at Blackfoot High and then later worked at the district office until her retirement.
Margaret loved to sew, garden, paint with oil and spend time with her grandchildren.  She was an avid basketball fan, and spent countless hours rooting for the Utah Jazz.  Harold and Margaret also loved to travel.  They visited many interesting destinations both near and far making many friends along the way.
Margaret is survived by Harold, her husband of 62 years; her children, Tonja (John) Knapp of Pocatello, John (Stormy) Mangum of Blackfoot;  her sister, Lee Townsend of Azle, TX;  eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Olsen and a brother, Stanley "Speck" Hill.
