Marion David "Jack" Francis Obituary
Marion "Jack" David Francis, 92, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 at his home.  
He was born March 1, 1923 in Pioche, Nevada, the son of John Ellis Francis and Flora Belle Dailey Francis.
He attended grade school in Caliente, Nevada, and graduated from Lincoln County High School in Panaca, Nevada, excelling in business classes. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles, California, to attend Sawyer's Business College. He later received his bachelor's degree of Fine Arts in 1954 at USC.
He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater and the Asiatic Pacific Theater. 
He married Nina Lee Benson in 1944 in Washington, D.C, just before going oversees. A child, Marilee Diane, was born to this union. While she still a baby, they were divorced.
On August 11, 1990, he married Judith Perret-Gentil and was sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.  They later moved to Blackfoot, Idaho where he has resided since.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a counselor in the bishopric, a two-year church service mission at the Employment Center, director of the Family History Center and as a temple ordinance worker for 17 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Marilee Parker of Scottsdale, Arizona; step-children, Eric (Kathy) Bucklein of Blackfoot; Brian (April Lynn) Bucklein of St. Joseph, Missouri; Wayne Bucklein of Boise and Stefan (Naomi) Lacey of Northern California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Judy; brothers, Ellis and Shirley and sisters, Helen and Mary.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at the Blackfoot 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 520 N. Shilling Ave., with Bishop Leslie Cook conducting.
The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home.
