Mark M. Jackson Obituary
Mark M. Jackson, 70, of Pingree, ID, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Mark was born February 25 ,1947 in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Clarence Mark and Wilma Martin Jackson. He attended school in Snake River, graduating from Snake River High School. Mark is a lifetime Pingree resident, except for several years when he lived in Aberdeen and for a year when he attended Ricks College. There, he was a member of the ballroom dance team.
Mark worked in a variety of fields and areas during his life. He worked the ranch around his family's home with his father Clarence, then worked as a brand inspector for the State of Idaho, Basic American Foods. Mark also had the opportunity to travel around Utah, Idaho, and Montana when he delivered food and goods for Montana Brand Trucking. Later, he worked as a BEA site bus driver until his retirement.

Mark participated and supported the 4-H programs for many years and was a member of the American Quarter-Horse Association. He rode in a horse-mounted posse group, which put together intricate pattered parade formations. They would Present the Colors for events around the state. When he lived in Aberdeen he enjoyed serving as a Scout Master.
Mark loved horses, both raising and racing them. Packing into the backcountry was one of his favorite things to do. He was an avid reader and had extensive knowledge on the bloodlines and genealogy of horses. Mark was an authority on the make and models of various types of guns and he liked to repair and refurbish them, in addition to spending time reloading the ammunition to use for hunting or target shooting. He loved spending time with his family; especially when he was able to tell stories of his life to his children and grandchildren.
