Michael Scott Kirkham Obituary
Michael Scott Kirkham of Pocatello, Idaho formerly of Blackfoot passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 from cancer at Portneuf Medical Center.
Scott was born Aug. 14, 1964 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Michael Reed and Judy Lynn Peterson Kirkham. He grew up in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School. He attended Ricks College, then Idaho State University.
On Jan. 6, 1989, Scott married Amy Fairbourn in Salt Lake City. Together they had three children, Taylor, Milli and Sterling.
Scott worked for many years at Kirkham Auto Parts, then fulfilled a life-long dream of owning his own auto restoration business.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in the Frankfurt, Germany Mission. He had also earned his Eagle Scout award.
Scott loved making old things beautiful again. He restored vintage automobiles, muscle cars, hot rods, and show cars. He made many home improvements, including laying tile. He enjoyed playing the guitar.
Scott is survived by his wife Amy of Pocatello; children, Taylor Scott (Harmonee) Kirkham, Idaho Falls, Milli Ann (Trey) Mecham, Pocatello and Sterling Trevor Kirkham, Pocatello; his parents of Blackfoot; brothers David (Andrea) Kirkham, Boise, Ryan (Dana) Kirkham, Ammon, Rhett (Jennifer) Kirkham, Boise, and sister Jennifer (Brent) Leavitt, Ammon; and three grandchildren, Jett Mecham, Quincee Kirkham and Gannon Kirkham.
He was preceded in death by grandparents O. Reed and Ruth Kirkham and Ellis "Pete" and Dorothy Peterson; and uncle Craig Peterson.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue, Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and relatives prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Those having cars that Scott restored are invited to bring their cars to the memorial service to display at the funeral home.
