Michelle "Shelley" Dove Obituary
Michelle "Shelly" Dove, 56, of Fort Hall, Idaho passed away in her home on July 13, 2015 from an extended illness.  

Michelle was born to Wade Snapp and Claudine Hutchinson in Blackfoot, Idaho on August 9, 1958.  Michelle spent most of her childhood in California.  She graduated from Sweet Water High School in National City, California in 1976.  

Michelle was an accomplished athlete in her early years.  She played softball in Fort Hall and in San Diego.  She also played for a woman's tackle football league with her mom, Claudine during the 1970s.  

Michelle spent many years in Vancouver, Washington where she married and had a daughter, Celisse Dove, in 1984. She worked in manufacturing and completed a business technology certificate.  When Michelle moved back to Fort Hall, she worked for the Tribes.  She was a dispatcher for the Police Department and then worked for many years in Surveillance at the Fort Hall Casino.  

Michelle was known for her sunny personality and attracted many friends.  She was generous to a fault and was always willing to lend a hand when needed. 

Michelle is survived by her daughter, Celisse Dove, of Tucson, AZ; and three granddaughters; her mother, Claudine Flint of Fort Hall, ID; brothers, Fred (Paula) Snapp of Phoenix, AZ and Bill Snapp of Blackfoot; sisters, Christelle Freeman of Pocatello, ID and Kristie (Garry) Dietzman of Camas, Washington.  Michelle is also survived by numerous family members including aunties, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  

Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Wade Snapp; her stepfathers, Ed Flint and John Freeman; maternal grandparents, Ted and Louella Hutchinson; and paternal grandparents, Fred and Mabel Snapp.

A prayer service is scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2015 at 5:00 pm at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot, Idaho.  Funeral services will be at Hawker Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm.  Family will accept visitors at the Flint residence in Fort Hall following Saturday's services.   Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
