Misako 'Micki' Sato Shiosaki, 94
Misako "Micki" Sato Shiosaki, 94, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at The Gables in Ammon, Idaho.
She was born December 2, 1920, the third daughter born to Seikichi and Hiro Sato in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Misako grew up and received her education in the Idaho Falls area schools.  She graduated from Ammon High School in 1938.  After graduation she moved to Ogden, Utah in search of a job.  She worked as a waitress at Bamboo Noodle Parlor.
In 1940 Misako moved to California.  She worked at Griffin Ave. Market as a grocery clerk.  In 1942 the evacuation order of Japanese people from the West Cost was issued.  Misako and sister, Toki, and family returned to Ogden.  In 1943, she was employed by Fuller-Toponce Truck Company.  While working there she attended secretarial training classes in the evening at Weber College.
While living in Ogden, Utah she met Mike Shiosaki.  They were married in Idaho Falls, Idaho on September 17, 1949.  They returned to Odgen and worked until 1953 when they moved to Blackfoot and opened the Jet Cleaners Dry Clean business.  Mike, his brother Jun and Misako ran the business for 11 years.  In 1964 Misako went to work for Westinghouse Electric Corp at the INL site.  She was employed there until her retirement.  Through the years Mike and "Micki" went to several of the 442nd Infantry Regiment reunions in Hawaii and Texas.  
Mike and "Micki" did not have any children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; parents, two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law and three sisters.
She is survived by a sister, Kiyoko "Kay" Minaga of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, James Sato and Kenneth Sato, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho.
The family would like to express their thanks to the Ammon Gables and Aspen Hospice for the care they gave "Micki".
The family will meet with friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 6:30-8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
