Nyla Jean Albertson Landon Obituary
Nyla Jean Albertson Landon, 83, of Kimball passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016 at Sunridge Assisted Living Center in West Jordan, Utah.
She was born Feb. 16, 1933 in Idaho Falls the daughter of Francis Annis Albertson and Margaret Elizabeth Robinson Albertson.
Nyla graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1951. On June 28, 1951, she married Max Ervin Landon in the Idaho Falls temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2003.
She served in many callings in the LDS church, including Relief Society and as Primary President, but her favorite calling was serving in the Primary as pianist. She was a homemaker, but also worked for Beehive Clothing for many years and as a cook at the Wapello Elementary School. 
Nyla enjoyed crocheting, quilting, baking and was an accomplished pianist. She is well-known for her cinnamon red pickles that she canned and her rolls and scones.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, DeRay (Barbara) Landon of Spring Creek, NV, Marcia (Jerry) Bronicel of West Jordan, Utah, Janet (Dean) Evans of Blackfoot, Connie (Lorin) Croft of Shelley, Idaho, Linda (Ted) Wring of Hurricane, Utah, Cindy (Mike) Clements of Rexburg, Becky (Kevin) Wilhelmsen of Layton, Utah, and Cory (Heather) Landon of Grantsville, Utah;  brother, Floyd (Janeil) Albertson of Blackfoot and sister, Annis Taylor of Idaho Falls; 34 grandchildren, 49 great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max; brothers, Francis, Raymond, Orville, Daniel, Merrill, Roger, and Billy; sisters Beatrice and Gloy and one grandchild, Kayla Wilhelmsen.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31 at the Wapello LDS Chapel with Bishop Kelly Mortensen conducting.
The family will meet with friends on Friday evening Dec. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
