Orris Jay Osborne Obituary

Jay passed away peacefully at his home on West Reservation Road on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Jay was born in Pocatello Idaho July 23, 1963 to Enos Osborne and Marian Alvarez Osborne. Jay was the baby of the family. He was raised in Fort Hall, Idaho with his four brothers and three sisters; Erick "Artie" Osborne, Rosalynda "Dohji" Osborne, Deland Osborne, Hughie Osborne (deceased), Carlino Lee Osborne (deceased), Lucy Osborne (deceased).

Jay attended Fort Hall Elementary, Blackfoot Jr High, Sho-Ban School and graduated from Blackfoot High School. He worked at R & G Potatoes until he was hired at the Shoshone – Bannock Tribal Enterprise as a cashier and worked his way up to supervisor for many years. His health started to become a concern and could not work no longer.

While attending Sho-Ban High school he met Carmelita Apodaca. They were married and had five children: Marian Rose Osborne, Alexandra Osborne, Zenita Osborne, Amanda Osborne and Orris Jay Osborne Jr. and later divorced.

Jay married Rosanna Pebeahsy Osborne in Burley, ID. They made their home on West Reservation road where they raised his kids, they were very active in their church until the time of her death in 2007.

In his younger years Jay enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing and riding horses. He was a mugger for his father's relay team. Jay loved spending time with family and friends. Jay was a trainger and coach for his son Jr during his successful boxing days. He loved to cruise around listening to his music. He loved his children and his grandchildren. His all-time favorite was his grandchildren….They were his world.

Jay was proceeded in death by his mother, Marian Alvarez Osborne, father Enos Osborne, brothers, Hughie Osborne, Carlino Osborne and sister Lucy Osborne. His paternal grandfather James Osborne Sr., and paternal grandmother Jessie Sequints, maternal grandmother Maggie Tindore, and his wife Rosanna Pebeahsy Osborne.

Jay had a special friend, Rayola Thomas from Owyhee, NV he would visit and spend time with.

Jay will be taken back to his home where he was raised on West Stocktrail road (Rosalynda "Dohji" Osborne residence) on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Viewing services will also be held at Rosalynda's residence on Friday, May 01, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Jay will be escorted by his family and friends by horse back to the Cedar Cemetery where he will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 02, 2015 at 3:00p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S.
