Paul William Jacobson Obituary
Paul William Jacobson, 69, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from injuries sustained in an accident.
He was born May 8, 1948 in Blackfoot, the son of Paul Virgil and Janet Renay Williams Jacobson.
He attended grade school in Moreland and graduated from Snake River High School. He received his associate degree from ISU. While attending ISU he was on their basketball team.
He married Rebecca Robertson on Dec. 2, 1978. They later divorced.
Paul was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in Northern California.
He was a member of the Iron Worker's Union where he had served as treasure.
He pursued many enterprises, farming, a sawmill, and investing.
Paul enjoyed hunting. He was very charitable to his friends and neighbors. He told his son many times, "We will go without the things we want so we can give others what they need." He will always be known as one of the good ol' boys.
He is survived by his sons, Joshua Paul Jacobson of Blackfoot, Dain Cole Jacobson of Idaho Falls, Tate Mars Jacobson of Pasco, Washington, Quinn Andrew Jacobson of Boise, Idaho; a half brother, Larry Duncan of Moore, Idaho; sisters, Marsa Mellen of California and Beverly Cope of Idaho Falls and one granddaughter, Aubrey Jacobson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Renay Jacboson.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 16 at the Moreland LDS Chapel, 740 W. 175 N., Moreland. The family will meet with friends at the church starting at 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
Interment will be in the Moreland Cemetery under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home.
