Reta B. Luke Obituary
Reta B. Luke, 81, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 at Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehab.
She was born July 15, 1935 somewhere in the hills of West Virginia. She was the daughter of Harlan Day and Bertha May Jackson.
On July 17, 1957, she married John M. Luke in Columbus, Ohio, who sadly preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2001.
She will be best remembered for her devotion to her friends and family. She loved animals and her favorite activity was gardening. She loved playing games including Dominoes, Monopoly, Scrabble and cards. Her skill at painting and arts and crafts was also well-known.
She is survived by her daughter, Terry (Jim) Clayborn, granddaughter, Tiffany (Jeff) Adkins, great granddaughters, MacKenzie, Baylee and Alyssa; son, David Luke, grandson, Brian (Katie) Luke, great grandsons, Dylan and Max all of Blackfoot; daughter, Tracy (Tom) Hopson of Kent, Wash. and grandson, Derek Hopson of Blackfoot.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot.
The family will meet 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
