Rhea Mae Wilcoxen Obituary
Rhea Mae Wilcoxen, 97, of Blackfoot and Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at Monte Vista Hill Healthcare Center in Pocatello, Idaho.
Rhea was born on Feb. 21, 1919, in Greensfork, Indiana, to John R. Boyd and Mabel E. Simon Boyd.
Rhea attended public school in different areas in Indiana, and then pursued her education and graduated from Richmond Indiana Business College.
Rhea married Howard Wilcoxen on March 20, 1941. They were Jehovah's Witnesses and together, served as such after their marriage. 
Their early years of marriage were spent in Richmond, Indiana and in Dayton, Ohio. In 1958, they took an assignment to serve as Jehovah's Witnesses in Idaho. They served in Rigby, Rexburg, Soda Springs and Blackfoot, as well as Jackson, Wyo.
Rhea did some secretarial work in Indiana, Ohio and Idaho, where she worked as a Ranger Clerk at the Island Park Ranger Station of the Targhee National Forest, and EGG of INEEL.
She made her home in Blackfoot from 1976 until 2004. She resided at Monte Vista Hills Healthcare Center, Pocatello from 2005 until the time of her passing.
Rhea is survived by her grandson, Matthew (Michele) Wilcoxen, of Aurora, Colo., and great-grandchild, Emory Wilcoxen.
Rhea is preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Wilcoxen, and her son, Ronald J. Wilcoxen.
Memorial services are to be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m., at the Blackfoot Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on 1535 Highland Drive.
Interment will be at Grove City Cemetery.
