Rick James Fisher Obituary
A memorial service celebrating the life of Rick James Fisher will be held Sunday, June 26 from 1-4 p.m., at Meridell Park, 5740 S. 5th Ave in Pocatello.
Rick was born in Portland Oregon to Carl V Fisher Jr. and Anna Carmella DeGiulio. He was later blessed with a sister and two brothers.
When Rick was 26, he married Leslie Anne White and together they had four children, whom Rick loved with his whole heart.
During their marriage, Rick studied to become an electrician, and was later a member of the International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He was very proud of this and worked hard to make it happen. He had great love and respect for all of the men and women that he worked with, and thought of many of them as family.
More than anything, Rick loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and most of all, rock-hounding. He was an avid collector of rocks and arrowheads. His love and appreciation for the beauty of nature and the outdoors was ever-present, and instilled in his children and grandchildren. A few of his favorite things included fishing with his grandchildren, and "resting his eyes," which we all knew really meant "long naps on the couch."
Rick took great joy in being with friends and family. Some of his favorite times were spent sitting in the backyard, enjoying good music and great company.
He loved to joke and had an infectious laugh and smile.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Carl V Fisher, Jr. and a daughter, Kelsie Anne-Marie Fisher.
Rick is survived by his son Ean Fisher, daughter Mallarie Bascom (Joel), daughter Dalanie Fisher, his mother Anna Kesterson, girlfriend Cindy Jones, sister Pam Baker, brother Chris Fisher, brother Mark Kesterson, grandsons Almon and Bekkit Bascom, granddaughter Atley Owen and countless relatives and friends.
