Robert Gene Bonenberger Obituary
Robert Gene Bonenberger, 83, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at the home of his daughter. 
Robert was born February 6, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to Clifford Harold and Dorothy Carrie Steimke Bonenberger. He was raised in St. Louis.
From 1955 to 1959 he served in the Korean Conflict in the United States Navy and was stationed in San Diego, California.  
He was married to Ruthelda Kimball, they were later divorced. He then married Virginia Hultz and she preceded him in death.
Robert worked at Save On Drug Store, Wonder Bread and Albertson's before he retired. In his free time he enjoyed wood working, 4-wheeling, boardgames, fishing, hunting, kayaking and anything outdoors.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin (John) Burroughs of Blackfoot; brother, Harold Bonenberger of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Betty Meredith of Scott, Missouri, Ruth Mueller of Crystal City, Missouri and Barbara (Robert) Vigen of Bemidji, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Tiffany (Scott) Wilson, Courtney (Kevin) Hansen and Josh (Ciera) Burroughs all of Blackfoot; and five great grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lorraine Bagwell.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
