Robert "Bob" Van Horn Obituary
Robert "Bob" Van Horn, 80, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his home.
Bob was born November 5, 1934 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Herbert Van Horn and Emma Fackrell.  He attended schools in St. Maries, Idaho as a boy. Bob and Lorna loved to return to St. Maries yearly for Paul Bunyan Days and visit his childhood friends.
On April 25, 1958 Bob married Lorna Oram in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Bob was a factory trained Maytag and Schwinn repairman, and worked for Cleggs Furniture.  He also owned his own business and worked as a custodian for Blackfoot School District. In his free time he enjoyed airplanes and cook outs with his family.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Scouts, Primary, Elders Quorum President, Priesthood teacher, Executive Secretary and was the facilities manager.  He was a home teacher extraordinaire and loved to work with and teach the youth.  Bob was devoted to his family and generous with service to anyone in need.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lorna of Blackfoot; children, Kathleen (Mark) Behrend of Blackfoot, Valerie Bame of Burley, Pamela Millett of Spanish Fork, Utah, Lorin (Toni Jo) Van Horn of Burley and John (Christina) Van Horn of Meridian; 25 grandchildren; and 19  (plus two more in 2015) great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Gene Loveland Jr, Donna Gaye Loveland and Sandra Quilici; father and mother in law, Ellis and Vera Oram; one granddaughter, Kansas Millett; and two great grandsons, Tucker and Stetson Talbot.
The family would like to thank Encompass Hospice especially Ed, Nora, Christina, Kayden, Sagen, Brandi, Remy and Stephanie for their love and care of Bob.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Blackfoot 6th Ward Church, 660 Teton Drive in Blackfoot.  The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church.  Interment will follow at the Grove City Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
