Ross Kent Christiansen, 39, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 suddenly in Gothenburg, Nebraska while on a family trip; surrounded by his family.
Ross was born March 11, 1977 to Kent and Glenda Christiansen in Blackfoot. Ross grew up in the Rose area, and attended Groveland Elementary and Mountain View Middle School. In his youth, he was involved in 4-H, played youth football, and soccer.
Ross graduated with honors from Blackfoot High School in 1995 where he was a member of FFA and the Academic Team.

He was always up for an adventure and always enjoyed the ride.
Ross touched the lives of many. He had countless friends in all walks of life, and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was never married, but loved all of his friends, and treated their children as if they were his own. He was a beloved son, brother and friend, and will be dearly missed by all.
Ross is survived by his parents, Kent and Glenda Christiansen, of Blackfoot, brothers,  Jeff (Rachel) Christiansen of Blackfoot, and Klay Christiansen of Portland, Oregon; grandparents, Glen and Shirley Christensen; step-grandmother, Bea Christiansen; uncles, Wayne (Kathy) Christiansen from Blackfoot, and Steven Christensen from Blackfoot; cousins Todd (Tiffany) Christiansen of Blackfoot, Katie (Wade) Wallace of Firth, Kelly Snapp of Blackfoot, and Stephanie Snapp of Blackfoot.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Vicki Snapp; and his grandparents, John and Virginia Christiansen.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up an account to take donations at Zions Bank – 1350 Parkway Drive, Blackfoot, ID 83221. Proceeds will be used for a scholarship fund for future Engineering students and other local charities in Ross' name.
