Ruth C. Butler Obituary
Ruth C Butler, 85, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2015 in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Ruth was born on March 29, 1929 to Hyrum and Stella Crook in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was the eighth child in a family of ten. She attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated in 1947.
She met Alva Ray Butler in Snowballs in Idaho Falls.  They were wed on May 25, 1947.  To this union they had four children.  They also raised Teresa Stone as one of their own.
Ruth was a homemaker until her children were older.  She went to work at the college as an assistant printer.  She then went to Farm Bureau as a printer, where she later retired after 14 years.
Ruth had many interests and talents.  Her biggest achievement was her children.  She loved the outdoors, wildlife and extremely loved flowers.  She was a master crafter in sewing.  She has made anywhere from children's clothes to chaps to many quilts and projects.
She has been an asset and role model to many lives and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Chad Butler of Chubbuck, Logan (Wendy) Butler of Blackfoot, Penny (Dave) Hagar of Blackfoot and Teresa (Randy) Stone of Blackfoot; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and three sisters.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alva; son, Lannie; a great grandson, Bouncy; and six brothers and sisters.
The family would like to acknowledge the service and friendship of Steve and Debbie Rademacher, the compassionate caretakers at The Willows and Encompass Home Health and Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot.  The family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
