Sandra Jean Foster Truman Obituary
Sandra Jean Foster Truman, 77, passed away Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, in her home in Blackfoot, Idaho.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. We were blessed by her love and faith. We will all miss her until we meet again.
Sandy was born on Catalina Island July 27, 1940 to Nora Nesbit Foster. She graduated from Douglas County High School in Minden, Nevada and attended the University of Nevada Reno, on a nursing scholarship, where she met her future husband.
She married Ronald A. Truman, April 7, 1958 and was sealed in the St. George Temple.
She met with the missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized in 1959. She served in various positions in the Young Women's program, as Relief Society president, compassionate service leader, Relief Society teacher, and faithful visiting teacher. She began a legacy of faith that her family will strive to continue.
Sandy brought joy to everyone she met, and she never met a stranger. She loved her Irish heritage and Irish jokes and blessings, told in a brogue.
She lifted, cheered, and inspired all who met her. She was an artist, a poetess, and a faithful correspondent. And she loved to serve others.
She was a CNA at the Blackfoot Medical Clinic and worked in medical at the Bingham County Jail.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Ron Truman; her daughters, Robin Leigh Dixon and Gayelynn Watson, and sons, Ronald Blair Truman and Spencer Chad Truman. She is the loving grandmother to 26 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Andrew Truman Watson.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service, which will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 at the Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields, and
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
