Sarah Veora Olson Belnap Obituary
Sarah Veora Olson Belnap, 99, of Ogden, formerly of Pingree, passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 in Layton, Utah.
Veora was born Jan. 2, 1918 in Groveland, Idaho to Albert Barnard and Elizabeth Ann Herbst Olson. She attended grade school in Groveland and graduated from Blackfoot High School.
She married Vere Ellsworth Belnap on Dec. 1, 1937, in the Salt Lake City Temple. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1999.
Veora worked for the school lunch program at Rockford Elementary and the Snake River High School for over ten years.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed many callings including Primary President for seven years and then called a week later as Relief Society President for the next nine years. 
She served as an organist for 33 years and as Gospel Doctrine teacher five years and always as a visiting teacher. She also served more than 14 years in the Idaho Falls Temple as an ordinance worker and occasionally as organist. She served a mission with her husband in the Mexico Hermosillo Mission from July 1980 to January 1982.
Veora greatly enjoyed being a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved to sew, quilt, crochet and was an excellent cook.
Veora is survived by her sons, Delwyn (Florence), Glendale, Ariz.; Gene (Lynda), Salt Lake City; Brian (Jackie), Kaysville, Utah; Blair (Vicky), Evanston, Wyo., daughters, Sandra (Dennis) Jackson, Rockford, Idaho and Shauna (David) Likes, Meridian, Idaho, sister Ruth Andersen of Jackson Hole, Wyo., and two daughters in law, Deaun Belnap, Tooele, Utah, and Elaine Belnap of Blackfoot. She is also survived by 68 grandchildren, 109 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Rey Belnap and Darrell Belnap, daughter Sheri Belnap, brother, Darwin Olson and sister, Lorraine Mecham.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at the Pingree First Ward, 1533 W. Highway 39, Pingree, Idaho. 
The family will meet with friends on Friday evening at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. Blackfoot, Idaho, from 6-8 p.m. and then again from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church on Saturday.
