Saundra Evans Obituary
Saundra Lee Fitch Evans, 75 passed away Friday Oct. 6, 2017 at the Portneuf Medical Center with her family by her side. Saundra was born Sept. 2, 1942 to Albert Harold "Ab" Fitch and Mary Lawrence in Pocatello, Idaho.
She attended school in Inkom, Hawthorne, Pocatello High School and graduated from Marsh Valley.
She was a cheerleader and Rodeo Queen. She also sang in the choir and loved singing with her family.
She married the love of her life, Jim Evans on March 25, 1964 in Elko, Nev.
Together they had three children, Kash, Shawn and Jami and two step-daughters, Suzie and Teresa.
She and Jim were pioneers in their industry of pumping and sanitation. They've owned and operated Snake River Sanitation for many years.
She loved life. Her hobbies included hunting, riding horses, fishing, riding and racing snow machines (never losing a race and winning her last race with a broken leg.)
She was a very competitive person and with that came a love of horse racing. She was an avid history and geography buff and was especially fond of the history of the Salmon River.
Her favorite times were spent with her family and working alongside her husband. Whether it was pumping toilets or training horses, they were always together. She always took care of anyone and everyone - no matter their needs.
Survived by her husband, son, Kash (Tammy) Evans of Blackfoot, daughter Jami (Bill) Jones of Moreland and step-daughter Suzie (Norm) Wright of Lewiston, siblings Vaunnita Lewis, Lela Webb, Larry Fitch, Allen Fitch and Luke Fitch, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Teresa, son Shawn and brother Robert.
