Saundra L. Martin Obituary
Saundra L. Martin, 69, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday August 22, 2015 at the Portneuf Medical Center.

Saundra was born August 13, 1946 in Lone Jack, Missouri to William Nelson Lee and Lena Rose McVey. She lived in Seattle, California and Idaho.

She married James Martin in Minidoka, Idaho and they had three children, Raymond, Anna Marie and Roger. They were later divorced. George Lawrence Weaver was her companion for 15 years. Arley Carter was her companion for the last 24 1/2 years.

Saundra worked as a musician and bar keeper. In her free time she enjoyed music, crocheting, reading, writing. She was a story writer, writing songs and poems. She loved her pets and stray animals. She was a good cook, no one ever left her house hungry. She was president of the Country Western Association in Stockton, California.

Saundra is survived by her children, Raymond Lee Martin of Post Falls, Idaho, Anna Marie Martin of Blackfoot, Idaho and Roger Andrew Martin and Carrie Reynolds of Lakewood, Washington; and brother, Arthur Wayne (Dawn M. Wright) Lee of California.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jesse, Paul, Norman and William "Bill" Everett Lee; and sisters, Wanda, Kay and Janet.

As per Saundra's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot. No services are planned at this time. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
