Shane Bronson Obituary
Shane R. Bronson, 46, honorably completed his earthly journey on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. He fought a valiant battle against cancer and wore a smile daily, serving with dignity for 8 years encouraging others to endure no matter the fight. Shane quietly left his eternal journey as his family gathered around to send him off. CANCER DID NOT WIN. After 9 long years, Shane left this world on his own terms.
Shane was born July19, 1969 in Ogden, Utah to Roy E. Bronson and Gaye and Rick Stagge. He attended Weber County Schools, graduating from Weber High School in 1987.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of his callings included home teacher and scout leader. It gave him great joy serving others.
Shane married his high school sweetheart, Kindra Gemar on June 16, 1988. Two years later they solemnized their marriage in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 16, 1990, sealing their family for eternity.
Shane loved the family cabin. He worked alongside his grandpa for many years on the family farm. Here he learned respect, hard work and dedication to family. Many weekends were spent helping grandpa build the family cabin during his youth to late thirties. This has always been his favorite "hang out" with family and friends.
Shane was an accomplished craftsman, working with his hands, creativity was endless. He worked as a cabinet maker, designer and sales rep for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and anything outdoors. He loved to knit, crochet and quilt. Almost everything he made was for someone else. He was a loving father and husband and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kindra; parents; children, Shaeson (Elexis) Bronson, Skielar (September) Bronson, McKaylon (Elizabeth) Bronson, Calliese Bronson and Morgan Bronson; 9 grandchildren with one little one on the way; 4 siblings, Aaron (Aimee) Bronson, Marci (Mike) Barrow, Gina (Kyle) Hancock and Jason (Michelle) Stagge; his father and mother in-law, Richard Sr. and Josephine Gemar; and 4 brother and sister-in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa Wills; grandma Mary and grandpa Espinoza; and grandpa and grandma Bronson. Also one nephew, Andrew Jordan Strybing.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Wapello 2nd Ward, 337 North 200 East, Blackfoot, ID. A viewing will be held prior to services from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church. A viewing will also be held from 10-11:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. with graveside services following at West Haven Cemetery.
