Shirley Marie (Watts) Ranson Obituary
Shirley Marie Watts Ransom, 78, of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.
Shirley was born March 26, 1936 in Ashton, Idaho, to Leland Carlos Watts and Mary Ellen Geyer. She graduated from North Fremont High School in 1954 and attended Grimm's Business College in Pocatello, Idaho.
On June 2, 1954 Shirley married Kelley D. Ransom in Ashton, Idaho.  They were later divorced in 1964. She married William Devon Greener on Oct. 10, 1975 in Ashton, Idaho. They were later divorced in 1980.
Shirley worked as a clerk, as a housekeeper, seamstress and nurse's assistant. In her free time she enjoyed reading, music, poetry, art and gardening. She had a great talent for crocheting and knitting, she made many afghans, dolls, toys and other crocheted gifts to give to family and friends. She will be remembered for the lifelong kind and loving service she so cheerfully gave to those around her. 
Shirley was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in the Young Women's and Primary organizations.
She is survived by her children, Michael K. (Connie) Ransom of Chubbuck, Idaho and Teresa R. (Kenlee) Brown of Richmond, Utah; brothers, Kerry Lynn (Jennie) Watts of Escondido, California and Carlos Kay (Linda) Watts of San Tan Valley, Arizona; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Gale Leland (Barbara) Watts and Kit Geyer (Kathy) Watts.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 in the Ashton Cemetery in Ashton, Idaho.
