Steven LaMar Sanders Obituary
Steven LaMar Sanders, Jr., 34, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, November 11, 2017.
He was born June 23, 1983 in Burley, Idaho the son of Steven Lamar Sanders, Sr. and Samaria Jane Christen.
He graduated from Oakley High School in Oakley, Idaho. He completed his Advanced EMT certification as well as his fire fighter 2. He was in the process of completing his associates in Fire Science.
On January 15, 2004, he married Melissa Foote in the Timpanogas LDS Temple in Utah.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Steven was willing to serve in anyway the Lord asked him to. He was an Eagle Scout.
One of Steven's favorite jobs was working with the Burley Fire Department for 7 years. No matter where he worked he enjoyed agriculture. He loved being on the farm with his Dad and Grandpa.He was currently working for Spudnik Equipment Co., shipping equipment all over the world.
As his boys got older, he had the opportunity to help coach and teach them football, which he loved.
He loved collecting things. His most favorite would be his prized tractor collection.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa of Blackfoot; children, Steven LaMar Sander III (12) and Kyler Ross Sanders(10) both of Blackfoot; parents, Steven Sanders, Sr. and Samaria Sanders of Park Valley, UT. and in-laws, Ross & Jackie Foote of Blackfoot; sister, Kortnie (Traig) Jones of Burley, Idaho and grandparents, LaMar & Luana Sanders of Burley, Idaho and Marcia Christen of Greenville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Daniel Christen.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Blackfoot Stake Center, 1650 Highland Dr.
The family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. and for one hour prior to the service at the Stake Center.
Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
