Terrell Scott Birch Obituary
Terrell Scott Birch 77, passed away Feb. 21, 2015 in the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following a lingering illness and a heart attack.
Terrell was born Aug. 11, 1937 in St. Anthony Idaho the son of Thomas  and Afton Hollist Birch.  He grew up in the Wilford area were he attended his elementary schooling, graduating from South Fremont High School.  He also attended Ricks College, Bellevue College in Nebraska and the Idaho State University where he was working on his Masters Degree.
He married Colleen Hillier in l964 in Ogden, Utah.  The marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in Sept.. 1969.  She passed away in Feb. of 1970.  He then married Julia Anne McGrew on Oct. 17, 1970 in Colorado Springs, CO.; and was solemnized three days later in the Arizona Mesa LDS Temple.  He served in the national guard until he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956 and the family lived all over the world and was honorably discharged in Jan. 1977.  While in the military he served as the solar weather forecaster.  He lived in Blackfoot ID. for 15 years where he worked at the INEL site.  They returned to Wilford in l993 where they have since resided.  He enjoyed playing the guitar, country western music, riding his motorcycle and photography.
Terrell is survived by his wife Julia of Wilford, Children - Louis (Maryann) Johnson, Pasadena, TX, Henry (Robin) Johnson, Henderson, NV.; Debra (Rodger) Crawford, Cathe, OK.; Patrick (Sharla Rae) Holmen, WI.; Taunia (Mark) Lindley, Centerville, UT. Dori (Brad) Hobbs,  Ammon, ID.; Ann Marie (Todd) Opheikens,  and Jamie (Stephanie) Birch, both of Wilford.  one sister Kristen (Jeff) Rydalch, Plano, ID. 32 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.  Besides his parents and first wife he was preceded in death by one brother Rhett Birch who die on Feb. 6, 2015 and a sister Jannis.
Funeral service for Terrell will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford LDS Church with Bishop John Sharp, officiating.  Friends may call at the Bidwell funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. and at the Wilford Church Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 just prior to the services.  .  Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the St. Anthony V.F.W. and American Legion.
