Timothy Ray VanOrden Obituary
Timothy Ray VanOrden, 26, of Blackfoot passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his home from his lifelong battle with Duschenne Muscular Distrophy (M.D.A).
Timothy was born on Jan. 15, 1991 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Alauna Block. He was then lovingly delivered to the arms of his adoptive parents Sherry Lee VanOrden and Michael Craig Stutz.
He attended the first grade in Nephi, Utah, then attended Snake River School District for the rest of his life. He was treated great by those at the school and community and graduated in a special graduation service in 2010.
Timothy enjoyed the Wednesday Breakfast Group each week at Brutoh's All American Restaurant.  He united many in the community and considered them all his friends.
Timothy loved muscle and antique cars, and loved to give his cousins rides on his wheelchair. His little dog, "Gus," always rode "shotgun" on Tim's lap. Tim also enjoyed planing flowers and watching them grow through the year.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an elder and helped with the sacrament, administering the sacrament in his wheel chair.
Tim is survived by his mother, Sherry VanOrden of Rockford; birth mother Alauna Block of Jerome; half-sisters Shanna Ling of Salt Lake City, and Tiffany Lowe of Rigby; grandparents Karen VanOrden, Rockford,  Craig and Pricilla Stutz, Orem, Utah and Gaylen and Cheryl Gneiting of Rigby; as well as many cousins, uncles and aunts.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lonny Van Orden, and cousin, Colby VanOrden.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 1 p.m. at the Blackfoot West Stake Center. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. McKinley and other medical friends who made life better for Tim and the M.D.A.
