T.J. Nakamura Obituary
T.J. Nakamura, 89, formerly of Blackfoot, passed away on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at Elder Care Cottages in Waterford, Wisconsin.
He was born April 23, 1926 in Lewiston, Utah. In 1949, his family moved to Blackfoot Idaho to farm.  
T.J. served in the US Army from 1946-1948 and continued serving in the Army Reserves while attending Utah State University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Bacteriology. Upon returning home, he farmed with his two older brothers.  After retiring from farming, T.J. worked at the Arco Idaho Atomic Energy site. 
He enjoyed fly fishing and volunteering at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Throughout his adult life he was a devoted son who was caregiver for his mother until 1995 (age 101).  In his later years, you may remember visiting with him as he walked the aisles of Walmart. 
In 2013, he moved to Wisconsin so that his sister and niece could care for him.  
He is survived by sister, Setsuko Krommenhoek, of Muskego, Wisconsin; and seven nieces and nephews.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenta and Tsugi Nakamura; and brothers, Tugi and Takeshi (Tack) Nakamura.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends  at 10 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in the Groveland Cemetery.
