Veltha U. Wheeler Obituary
Veltha U. Wheeler, 71, of Fort Hall, passed away, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehab.
Veltha was born August 30, 1946 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Pony Ute and Eunice Broncho.
She has been a life time resident in the Gibson District of Fort Hall and attended Blackfoot High School.
Veltha married Ivan Wheeler and together they had two children. Ivan preceded her in death on November 23, 2012.
She was a member of the Native American Church.
Veltha loved to take care of her lawn and yard. She also enjoyed visiting the casino, taking long drives with her husband and attending their grandson's football games in Lava.
Veltha is survived by her daughter, Erika Wheeler; brother, Harvey Toane; and grandson, Ethan Wheeler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Wheeler;  her parents, Pony and Eunice; son, Anthony Wheeler; brothers, Manuel Ute, Darwin Ute, Rudy Pahvitse, Lyell Ute, Wally Hebah; and sisters, Sandra Ute, Phyllis Weizer, Christine Broncho, Rose Hebah, and Peggy Nipwater.
Veltha will be taken to the Eagle Lodge, Truchot Road in Fort Hall at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018, where she will remain until traditional burial services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Ross Fork Creek Cemetery.
