Vicki Christiansen Snapp Obituary
Vicki Christiansen Snapp, 57, of Blackfoot passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at Portneuf Medical Center from a newly diagnosed brain tumor. Vicki's children and family were by her side when she passed away.
Vicki was born May 30, 1958 in Blackfoot, Idaho, to John and Virginia Christiansen.
Vicki graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1976, then went to Idaho State University on a full ride basketball scholarship but was injured and unable to play. She worked for over 30 years at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot in the medical billing office. She gained many lifelong friends through her time working there.
Vicki married the love of her life, Wade Snapp, on April 9, 1980. This union brought two beautiful children, Kelly and Stephanie Snapp and two stepsons, Bill and Fred Snapp.
Vicki was a phenomenal athlete and she had a love for many sports including basketball, horse racing, football and rodeos. Many years of her life were spent taking Stephanie to rodeos and watching Kelly play football. She was her kids' biggest fans and never missed any games or events. She loved going to Les Bois Park in Boise to watch the family's race horses for many years.
Vicki had a love for the outdoors and loved spending time in Mackay four-wheeling and camping with friends and family. It was the highlight of her summers and something she looked forward to all winter. She said many times how lucky she was for the friendships and memories she made during summers in Mackay. She also enjoyed having great conversations with friends over a good cocktail.
Vicki touched the lives of many. She was a very loving, giving, caring and compassionate person. She was very energetic and could make anyone laugh and smile. Vicki was very empathic; she was known to be the rock in many peoples' lives and would cry along with anyone.  Vicki loved her children full-heartedly. Vicki's children were the light of her world. Vicki was her children's best friend. Vicki created many memories with her children and grandson, Mason. Vicki will be greatly missed by many.
Vicki is survived by her son, Kelly Snapp of Blackfoot; daughter, Stephanie Snapp of Blackfoot; brothers, Kent (Glenda) Christiansen and Wayne (Kathy) Christiansen, both of Blackfoot; stepmother, Bea Christiansen of Blackfoot; stepchildren, Bill Snapp of Blackfoot and Fred (Paula) Snapp of Phoenix Ariz.; former-daughter-in-law, Kay Powell of Blackfoot; grandchildren, Mason Newby, Morgan Snapp, Terrance Snapp, Kimi Snapp Wetzel, Savannah Snapp, Jake Snapp and Joey Snapp; and many, many more family and friends.
