Wesley Duncan Woodland Obituary
Wesley Duncan Woodland, 46, of Blackfoot, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the University of Utah Hospital.
He was born April 4, 1971 to DeVon and Dean Duncan Woodland, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He graduated from Blackfoot High School and married Suzette Peterson in 1989. They were later divorced. On November 30, 2013, he married Melody Fugatt in Blackfoot, Idaho. He has six children; Stetson, Brennan, Beau, Maggie, Jessie, and Leine.
He enjoyed fishing, loved to spend time with his kids and grandkids, loved working on cars, enjoyed livestock and rodeoing at a younger age, and was the best at grilling and smoking meat.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many different callings; including  counselor in the Stake Missionary Presidency; Elder's Quorum Instructor and in the Scouting program. He was recently called as the Ward Mission Leader.
Wesley is survived by his wife, Melody; His parent DeVon and Dean Woodland, his children Stetson (Lindsey) Powers, Brennan Allen, Beau Woodland, Maggie (Josh) Wagoner, and Leine (Jonathan) Woodland; his brothers, Calvin Woodland, Russell Woodland, Gale (Nicole) Woodland, and Ryan (LaBretta) Woodland; sisters Charlene (Alan) Conilogue, Janiel Woodland, Tammy (Steve) Cobbley, and Dianne (Marty) Mickelson; and seven grandchildren, Sadie, Jacie, Josie, Taylor, Haylee, Sydlee, and Charlie.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jessie, and his brother, Glenn.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27,2017 at 11 a.m. at Wapello 2nd Ward Building. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, and again one hour prior to the services at the church.
Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
