Wilhelmina Harding Obituary
Wilhelmina "Willa" Harding, 84, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017 at her home.
Willa was born in Idaho Falls on Sept. 18, 1932 to David Farold and Ida Elzina Hansen Conrad.
Willa graduated valedictorian from Iona High School, where she participated in cheerleading, tap dancing, and dramatic productions.
Her best friends were ZoAnn Denning and Janice Rockwood. She attended Ricks College, where she was elected homecoming queen. She transferred to Brigham Young University where she as an active member of the O.S Trovato Social Group. She graduated in 1954 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Education and a double minor in Accounting and Speech with a Secondary Teacher's Certificate.
Willa married the love of her life, Ralph R. Harding on Aug. 11, 1954, in the Idaho Falls of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Temple. Together they had five children; Ralph, Cherie, Charlene, John and Cozette.
Willa was a faithful member of the LDS church. She served as Ward Primary President, Relief Society President, and Stake Relief Society President. She was a gifted teacher in all Church Auxiliaries and a faithful visiting teacher to the end. Willa was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Willa's main interests have been her husband and her children, she enjoyed traveling with Ralph to Europe, China, the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, Canda, Mexico and many areas in the United States. Willa loved to read, and enjoyed her monthly book club. She also loved to cook and bake, and was a wonderful hostess. The greatest joy of Willa's life was to visit after the birth of each grandchild and take care of the new baby, mother, and the rest of the family. In Willa's later years she enjoyed her great-grandchildren.
Willa is survived by her children; Ralph David (Reggie Mendiola) Harding, of Donnelly, Idaho, Cherie Harper (Kirk) Clawson, of Blackfoot, Idaho, Charlene (Glenn) Johnson, of Park City, Utah, John Kennedy (LaNae Willis) Harding, of Kuna, Idaho, and Cozette (Fred) Kesler, of Milpitas, California, as well as 31 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren and a beloved extended family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph R. Harding, her parents, David and Ida, her brothers, Farold and Gary Conrad, her sisters, Karen Marie and Madge Conrad, Margaret Neil, Edna Hansen, and Edith Stephens, her granddaughter Laken LaNae Harding, and son in law Marvin John Harper.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Blackfoot Stake Center, 1650 Highland Dr., Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the stake center.
Interment will be held 3 p.m. following the service at the Malad Cemetery.

The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorials be made the Children Primary Hospital in Salt Lake City.
