William "Bill" Wallace Obituary
William "Bill" J. Wallace, 64, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Blackfoot Reservoir.

Bill was born on October 14, 1950 to John Samuel Wallace and Janet Twiggs in Blackfoot, Idaho. He attended Wapello Elementary School and graduated from Blackfoot High School. He played on all-star baseball teams when he was younger and during high school Bill ran track and was known for his speed.

On April 22, 1972 Bill married his sweetheart Susan Ockerman. They spent most of their life in the Blackfoot area raising their two children, Tammie and Wade but also lived in Burley, Mountain Home, and Weiser.

After graduation Bill began his lifelong occupation of working in retail. Bill had a goal of owning his own retail store. To achieve this goal Bill worked for Albertsons, Cloverfarm, Pomida, Just Army Store and the INEEL. He was then offered a job to manage the Blackfoot C-A-L Ranch where he worked for five years before becoming the the manager in Idaho Falls and then the Regional Manager and ultimately a part owner in over 30 C-A-L Ranch stores.

Bill enjoyed ranching, hunting, fishing, riding snow machines, and gambling in his spare time. He was also a member of the Blackfoot Elks Lodge. He went to 4-H auctions and other 'junk' auctions where he loved to bid on animals to support the local 4-H students and see what bargains and treasures he could find. Bill also trained and owned several successful racehorses. Above all else, Bill loved his grandchildren. He followed them to all their activities and loved spending as much time as he could with them. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren's accomplishments.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Susan Wallace, of Blackfoot; son, Wade (Katie) Wallace, of Firth; his mother, Janet Wallace, of Blackfoot; his sister, Jacquelyn Wallace, of Pocatello; and his grandchildren, Brodie, Shantelle, Ryder, and Kinsley.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Samuel Wallace; and his daughter, Tammie Sue Hunt.
