Yonula Hugie Obituary
Yonula Hugie, 77, of Blackfoot, passed away on Sunday May 14, 2017 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 1, 1940 in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Harry and Hannah Katseanes. She was raised and graduated from Snake River High School.
On May 23, 1958 she married Vaughn Hugie in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She worked in the Blackfoot School District as an administrative assistant and held various other roles.
Her hobbies included gardening and working around the family farm. She was dedicated and loved being able to support her children and grandchildren in their activities.
She is survived by her sons, William (Nancy) Hugie, of Memphis, Tenn. and Thomas Hugie, her daughter Sue (Clay) Gustaveson, both of Blackfoot; five grandchildren, Josie, Tyler, Kari, Natasha, and Abby; and three great- grandchildren; and two brothers, Harry (Yonula) Katseanes and Chess (Donna) Katseanes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday May 16 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. A visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
Interment will follow the services at the Grove City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the: Blackfoot Education Foundation, 800 Airport Road, Blackfoot, Idaho, 83221.
