Mary Williams, 73, was born on Nov. 11, 1947, to the late parents of Harry and Bulhia Victorian in Lake Charles, La. She was the oldest of she and her sister. Mary passed away on March 30, 2021, at 1:02 a.m. in St. Patrick Hospital of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was a devoted Catholic. She attended church every Sunday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she had been a member since she was born. She obtained her Bachelor's of Science degree from McNeese State University and worked as a Registered Nurse for 5+ years. She also obtained her Master's degree from McNeese State University in Education and worked as an elementary school teacher for over 35+ years where she received numerous Teacher of the Year Awards. She taught at John F. Kennedy and Combre Elementary Schools in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Ernest Williams of Abbeville, La.; one daughter, Cutricia Nash-Ross of Lake Charles, three grandsons, Antonio Nash, Stanton Nash, and Damion Nash all of Lake Charles; one granddaughter, Danisha Nash of Lake Charles; four great-granddaughters, Da'Miya Nash, Ja'Niya Nash, and Da'Mani Darby all of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Ariel Nash of Lake Charles; two great-grandsons, Marcus Long Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia and Christian Robertson of Lafayette, Louisiana; two nephews, Damien Victorian and John Castle both of Lake Charles; two great-nephews, Jadien Victorian and John Charles of Texas; one great-niece, Khy Castle of Texas; one great-granddaughter in law, Rachel Nash; and her three children of Lake Charles; one son-in-law, Daniel Ross of Oberlin, Louisiana; and one Godson, Donald Mouton of Lake Charles. The family of Mary Williams would like to acknowledge her extended family which includes her cousins, nieces and nephews, three step grandchildren, and her six stepchildren that she gained from her husband, Ernest Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bulhia Victorian; and sister, Christine Victorian.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
