I just heard of Rusty's death from Fran G. Reed. She was very special to me during my time at Cedar Campus. Her example was important. My best to the family. Louise Little (Lou)

I met Gladys while living in Ann Arbor and found her to be an interesting person. Her book "Honey for a Child's Heart" is well-known in Christian education circles and I had the privilege of introducing her to people who were beginning what is now Ann Arbor Christian School. She served God well during the time that He gave her on earth.

Rusty truly was a "one of a kind" woman! She was brilliant, loved God above all else and was so well matched with her husband of 61 years, Keith. She was a wordsmith who knew how to string words together in a way that could make us laugh, cry and take action. She taught me what it means to be hospitable. I loved talking books and praying with her. She was a mentor and served as a "grandmother" to our three children who grew up at Cedar Campus, far from their Wisconsin grandparents. Oh how we will miss her,a but surely heaven is richer!

Rusty, along with Keith, were a huge encouragement to Susie and I - first as college students, then as missionaries. One of my best memories was spending the Fourth of July with her up in Cedarville. With all the people she knew, it always amazed me that she took time regularly to pray for and write to us. Well done, good and faithful servant! Carroll Stevens (Rochester, NH)

I remember the first time I heard you speak, then I loved selling your books at Zondervan. You leave behind a wonderful legacy of your love for Christ. Your family is in my prayers as they deal with this loss.

I am remembering the pleasant memories of Gladys as IVCF sponsor at Western Michigan University during my college days, 1958-1962.
Her books were an inspiration.
