Ender, Richard T. "Dick" 11/17/1936 - 1/2/2018 Milan, Michigan Age 81, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1936 in LaCrosse, WI to Theodore and Marjorie (Naegle) Ender. He graduated from Logan High School in LaCrosse in 1954. Dick has been married to his wife Mary Ann for 59 years and has 5 children. Dick was an Industrial Engineer and consultant until he retired in 2000. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Milan. Dick was an active member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 63 years. Throughout those years he was a member of several quartets and choruses in LaCrosse, WI., St. Cloud, MN., and Ann Arbor, MI. Amazingly his original high school barbershop quartet, the Monotones, remained together for 61 of those years. In addition to his hobbies of collecting and restoring antique radios, and working jigsaw puzzles, Dick had a passion for wood carving and could be found weekly demonstrating his talents at the Morning Owl Coffee Shop in Milan. Besides his wife he is survived by his 5 children, Bill Ender of Monticello, MN; Kathy (Alan) Faust of Cold Spring, MN; Tom (Kelli) Ender of Hamburg, MI; Barb (Ken) Reid of Belleville, MI and Bob (Jen) Ender of Ann Arbor, MI. In addition, he is survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 1 sister, Cheri Passalacqua of Arlington, WA. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 2 sisters and his grandson Brad Faust of Cold Spring, MN. Visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, January 8th at 11:00am where he will lie in state from 10am until time of Mass. www.ochalekstark.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Huron Valley Harmonizers or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
