Seyfried, Barbara Ann Ypsilanti, MI Barbara Ann Seyfried PhD, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2019 with her family by her side. Barbara was born on March 18, 1945 to the late Marion (Lindbert) and Frederick J. Seyfried in Ann Arbor, MI. She attended Roosevelt High School in Ypsilanti, MI graduating in 1963. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1967 with a degree in Psychology and Journalism. She attended Kent State University completing a Masters and PhD. She taught at the college level and later became a Clinical Psychologist, working at Kings Park Psychiatric Center and Albion Correctional Facility, both in New York State. She retired in 2007 and returned to Michigan to be close to her family. Barb loved reading, crafts, playing cards and art. She was known for her great attitude in the face of many disabilities. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Frederick Seyfried and her sister Nancy Lynn Seyfried. Barbara is survived by her sister Susan (Gregory) Brown. Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline with a memorial service taking place at 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, Illinois 60611; Memo line: Barbara Seyfried and envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Barbara was grateful for the exceptional medical care she received from Michigan Medicine, that care markedly extended her life span. I was so sorry to hear that Barb had passed away.
I spent many hours with her in art class and enjoyed talking with her. I haven't seen her in a few years but I know she will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was truly a wonderful person to be around May she rest in peace.

Went to elementary and high school with her. Enjoyed sitting and talking with her at our 55th reunion last fall.
