A Celebration of Life Service for Johnny Allen Atkins, 54, will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the family's home. Mr. Atkins died Tuesday at the VA hospital in Birmingham. He is survived by his mother, Betty Jean Atkins; three sisters, Debbie Jobe and her husband, Red, of Ona, W.Va., Donna Green, of Weaver and Teresa Smith, of Eastaboga; one brother, Timothy Scott Atkins, of Anniston; and nine nieces and nephews, Melissa Nunnally, Joey Thompson, Jessica Allen, John Green, Caleb Stephenson, Tyler Kitchen, Gage Nunnally, Leah Grace Allen and Zoeie Lawson-Green. Mr. Atkins was a member of Becco Baptist Church in Accoville, W.Va. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy. Mr. Atkins was an avid Marshall Football fan and loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly by his friends and family. Online condolences may be sent to the family at:
