Bobby Ray Wingo of Anniston, Alabama passed away on Sunday, February 14th 2021 at the age of 77.
Bobby was born in Lincoln, AL on April 17, 1943 to father Cooper Wingo and mother Nettie Wingo. He was the second youngest of 5 siblings. He enjoyed delivering papers, coaching baseball, and being an Eagle Scout at a young age. He also wrote sports articles for the Anniston Star. Bobby began working at a printing company after graduating high school. He attended Jacksonville State University. Bobby married on March 1, 1968 to Sandra Harris Wingo at Parker Memorial Baptist Church where he was a lifelong member. His work ethic and desire to take care of his family showed through his dedication to his career. He worked at Higginbotham Printing Company until he retired in his 60's. During his retirement Bobby enjoyed taking care of his yard and spending time with his family and 2 dogs.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Cooper and Nettie Wingo and by his sister Norma Regions and his brother Calvin Wingo.
He is survived by his brother Gerald Wingo and Sharon Burton; his son Robert (Rebecca) Wingo and daughter Wimberly (Matt) Wood; grandchildren Matthew Wingo, Weston (Makaila) Wingo, Abby Wingo, Bennett Wood, Mary Harris Wood, Cooper Wood and great-grandson Asher Wingo.
