Graveside service for Carole Louise Ragan, 81, of Piedmont will be Tuesday, February 09, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Carmel Cemetery with the Rev. Neil Lanigan and the Rev. Ashley Penton officiating and Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ragan passed away Sunday, February 07, 2021 at her home.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Ray Ragan; one son, Michael Ragan (Tanya); grandson, Landon Ragan; chosen grandson, Zack Langley all of Piedmont; one sister, Jeanette Long of Huntsville; sisters-in-law, Nancy Hutcheson (Jerre), Faye Amberson (Johnny), and Linda Hayes (Frankie); one brother-in-law, Kenneth Treadaway; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerre Hutcheson, Randall Prater, Jay Prater, Taylor Hardin, Jeremy Goss, and Jeff Formby. Mrs. Ragan was a resident of Piedmont all of her life and was a member of Carmel Presbyterian Church. She taught school at Spring Garden School for 32 years. She was a nurturing caregiver to her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Ragan was preceded in death by her parents, Winston and Inez Estes; and sister, Wynette Little.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Carmel Presbyterian Church, In care of Gwen Formby, P.O. Box 61, Spring Garden, AL 36275.
