Funeral services for Joan J. Sides, 76 of Weaver will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. William Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Sides passed away August 2, 2019 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Bobby W. Sides; her daughters, Paula Keel "Sissy" and Janna Smith Chastain; her son, Paul L. Keel, Jr. (Tina); grandchildren, Hannah Imam, Sarah Imam and Justin Smith; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Snyder and Aiden Snyder; sisters, Julia Geier and Jolene Owens (Dale); brothers, Jesse James and Jerry James; and many nieces and nephews; and special thanks to Wanda Brown-Caregiver. Mrs. Sides is preceded in death by her Mother, Queen Sims James; Father, Joseph R. James; brother, Joel James; sister, Janice Smith and stepson, Brian W. Sides. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mrs. Sides was a church member and a lifelong Christian. Condolences may be made at www.chapelhillfh.com
