Graveside services for Ms. Julie Roxanne Langley, of Ohatchee, AL, will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Dogwood Trail Memorial Gardens. Alan Langley and Dr. Randy Hayes will be officiating. The family will receive friends on the same day from 1:00 pm until 2:45 pm at Miller Funeral Home. Julie passed away suddenly at RMC after a valiant battle with cancer. Julie attended Oxford Middle School and graduated from Oxford High School, class of 1978. Julie was born on February 12, 1960 in Gadsden , Alabama to MSGT Charles and Shirley H. Langley. She was an Army brat and lived in Alabama, Germany, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. She resided for 28 years on Ohatchee, Alabama. Julie is survived by her boyfriend, Tony Wallis of Ohatchee; mother, Shirley Langley of Oxford; sister, Kathy D. Nail of Oxford; brothers, Brian D. Langley (Sunny) of Alabaster and C. Alan Langley (Dana) of Louisville, KY; uncle, Bobby Langley (Glenda) of Gadsden; aunt, Peggy Langley Shaw of Southside; nieces and nephews, Kevin Langley (Lyndsey), Alanna Gibat (Patrick), Alexandra Serber (Bill), Nathan Nail (Kari), Ian Langley (Amanda); close cousins, Joseph Dismuke (MaryJenne), Joy Henderson, Carolyn Whisaniant (Henry); close family friend, Helen Jones Wood, and a host of extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, MSGT Charles Langley; grandparents, May and Mittie Langley of Gadsden, and Porter and Emily Henderson of Rainbow City, and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Brian Langley, Kevin Langley, Mike Boyd, James Harold Griffin and members of Church on the Rock. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Wallis, James Lumpkin, Dwayne Lumpkin, and Jerry Strickland. Julie was a tireless and dedicated worker with AA. She formed a group at Church on the Rock in Anniston called the Unity Group. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Blane Bateman of RMC, Dr. Rohit Patel of RMC, Dr. John Stahl of UAB, Dr. Arun Paul of UAB, the radiology group at RMC, and to the staff and members of Church on the Rock.
