A Memorial Service for Mrs. Rebecca McFee Robertson, 76, of Wedowee, formerly of Birmingham, will be announced at a later date. Mrs. Robertson passed away on January 2, 2021. Mrs. Robertson was a graduate of Athens High School and received her BA from Huntingdon College. While at Huntingdon, she sang in the chorale. Her love of music continued throughout her life by teaching piano. She had worked as a director of Christian education and a social worker. Mrs. Robertson was a member of the United Methodist Church and belonged to the Alabama Federation of Women's Clubs. Mrs. Robertson is preceded in death by her parents, E.L. and Mabel Williams McFee; a sister, Beverly Jones; and a brother, Bryan McFee. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Robertson; a son, Allan Robertson and his wife, Jennifer; a daughter, Allison Haynie and her husband, Eric; grandchildren, Caro Robertson, Cameryn Haynie, and Emmett Haynie; nieces and nephews, Chris Jones, Jennifer Jones Wehby, Amy Jones, Rob Robertson, and Angie Higdon; a sister-in-law, Carol McFee; and brothers-in-law, Dan Robertson and his wife, Lorraine, and Thurmon Jones and his wife, Martha. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Camp Sumatanga, 3616 Sumatanga Road, Gallant, AL 35972. In accordance with the state-mandated health order, guests attending the visitation and service are kindly asked to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
