Private graveside services for Mrs. Ruby Hill, 99, of Jacksonville, were held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Reverend Truman Norred officiated. Mrs. Hill passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Hill; and her son, Ed Hill. Mrs. Hill was a long time resident of Jacksonville where she was a longtime member of Westside Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and her happiest times were when she could cook and share meals with her family. Survivors include her granddaughters, Sherry Johnson and her husband, Jason, Kelly Creel and her husband, Doug; great grandchildren, Jordan Riggan and his wife, Rachel, Kate Johnson, Jake Johnson and his wife, Marey, Parker Creel, Hunter Creel, Emma Creel, Jackson Creel; two great great grandchildren, Ryker Woodard and Hudson Johnson; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Ramey Thompson, Doug Creel, Jackson Creel, Jordan Riggan, Jason Johnson and Jake Johnson.
