I just read this today, and my heart was mixed. Sad because you have moved on, but happy you lived such a good life and were loved by so many. I knew Bob pretty well, I worked with the SLHFD in the mid to later 1970's. He was always so very fair to me, driven to excellence, a too rare trait especially in these times. My Dad passed away in 2009, my Mom within the same week. My Dad Lee was a good friend of Bobby's, they worked the FD together. More than one Old Mill Inn, The Stockton Hotel, Tony Yanadi's. Some real burners. I remember we did a lot of work on the trucks (the Oren, the old GMC, the 6x6, the Max, first Hahn at my Dad's Texaco. Engine 9 was the Oren, if I recall. Sad to see you pass Bob, I know you led a good life as a great Man. Rest easy.

Bob,
From the day I moved next door you have been much more then a great neighbor. You have been a father figure for me. You always looked out for what was in the best interest of my family. The advice and help you provided on a daily basis was always appreciated. The neighbor will not be the same without you watching over all of us.

I was lucky to call Bob my next door neighbor for 20 years, but I was blessed to call him my friend. He was one of the warmest people I have ever met. Bob took my husband and I under his wing when we first moved here, and that is where he kept us. I will keep him always in my heart and I will cherish the time that we had with him.

I will always remember coming over to the house as a little girl with Heather and Pop-Pop being in his big chair with a cheerful "Hi Arle". You were always so kind-hearted and quick with a joke. You will truly be missed. Love always, Arle.

Pop-Pop, you had strength in both integrity and heart. I am so lucky to have had a grandfather like you. I'm going to miss seeing your smiling face and the way that you would joke and make me laugh. I can still hear you yelling at me for putting another "brain crusher" on Sarah. You were an amazing man and touched the hearts and lives of everyone you met. I am so proud to be your granddaughter. I miss you and love you very much. Give Mum-Mum a big hug and kiss from me, Guy and the kids. Remember, it's not goodbye it's I'll see you later. Thanks for being my one and only Pop-Pop. Love always and forever, Heather.

To the Winemiller family we are so sorry for your loss. I want to say thank you to Bob. When we moved next door to Bob 20 years ago I had no idea how lucky I would be. Bob and Barb were the perfect neighbors and friends. No matter what project needed to be done, Bob knew somebody or had the right tool and knew how to use it. For all of the help, advice, friendship including fishing trips, I can never say thank you enough. The best way I can describe Bob is A LIFE WELL LIVED. Thanks for being my neighbor and friend. Bob and the Winemiller family were an unexpected gift
when our daughter and son-in-law moved to 806 Lake Ave., next door to the Winemiller homestead. Bob's generosity was overflowing and his enjoyment of family, friends, and life in general, was a joy to behold. We loved talking with him. Just seeing him relaxing in his " man-cave" brought re-assurance that " all was well with the world". We could go on and on about what his presence meant to the neighborhood. We wish we knew him longer. We will miss him and we pray that the Winemiller clan will find comfort in the many memories Bob's earthly presence provided. He'll be with you for eternity. Nice fish, Bob.
