This is really difficult. What began as colleagues in 2010 turned into a very dear friendship. I will so miss our conversations, debates, and your sage advice.
His passing will not only leave a void in my life, but in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He and his work have affected so many and he can't be replaced. Joe's memory will always remain deep within my heart.
I will try to help Mama however I can. I'll miss you my friend.

I just heard about JWDs passing. He was my first boss when I moved to the field of IT and influenced how I looked at real work life. (Long live OpenVMS Joe! and thanks for "yelling" at me until I signed up for the thrift fund!) What a great sense of humor (laugh until you cry). Smooth sailing Joe... on "the other side".

I have known of Joe for many years. I am a business associate and have always appreciated his web site. Always remember how funny Joe was when we talked and discussed life, clients, things in general. We shared the same opinions on many things and found a lot of humor in speaking our mind frankly with no BS. I miss Joe and want to honor his legacy by keeping his website active. I have added an 'im memorium' on the site.
