David W. Loda
AGE: 86 • Woodbridge
David W. Loda, 86 of Woodbridge passed away Feb.15th at the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Pittston Pennsylvania, David lived in Woodbridge for the past forty eight years. Retiring in 1988 he was employed as a postal clerk with the United States Post Office in Newark for thirty five years. He was a member of St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge. David proudly served his country during WWII with the United States Army being stationed in Okinawa Japan. He was a member of the Woodbridge VFW Post #4410, the Iselin American Legion Post #471 , was an avid Yankee fan & loved to garden. He is predeceased by his loving wife Joyce in 1992. David is survived by his devoted sons Michael R. Loda & his wife Gail of Sewaren, Ronald D. Loda and his wife Evelyn of Fords, cherished grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Joyce, and Helen. Funeral services will be held 8:30am Wednesday at the Gerity & Chubenko Funeral Home 411 Amboy Ave., (RT 35) Woodbridge followed by a 9am Mass of Resurrection at St. James R.C. Church with interment to follow at the Lithuanian Independence Cemetery, Pittston Pennsylvania. Visitation will be Tues. 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home. So sorry for your loss, may you find comfort from God's word at Psalms 9:9 “He will be a secure height when we are crush and in times of distress”. I hope that through his word you can find comfort in your time of sorrow.
